This course is held in the ambiance of a high quality Business School (with the coveted 5 year accreditation from AICTE) with experienced, high quality faculty taking the subjects, in the nation's software capital of Electronics City Bangalore. This one year full-time course is much sought after by the Construction Industry within India and abroad.

Projects of all types, will consume about $ 12 trillion ( i.e. $12,000 billion) in the coming year all over the world. (Data given by the Project Management Institute, USA) Of this, we can expect roughly 50 % to be in the area of infrastructure development. China will by itself, be spending almost $ 600 billion in this area. India too is following suit. Infrastructure development is the burgeoning industry to be in ..!! In the 11 th five year plan , we have planned to invest Rs.1,60,000 crores in the area of Infrastructure Development.

Graduates after completing this course will take up managerial assignments in the project planning, execution, supply chain management positions, vendor negotiations, resource allocation, HR management etc related to the infrastructure development sector. The infrastructural field being very multi-disciplinary, the services of Engineers from all branches are necessary in the successful completion of any infrastructural project.

Spread over four terms of eleven weeks each, the first two terms will have classroom sessions. The third term is for Industry internship in a construction industry or Project Management firm. The fourth term will again have theory classes in the Institute.

Admission eligibility for the course is a degree in any branch of Engineering / Architecture with consistently good academic record. The final selection will be on the basis of Personal Interviews at Chennai / Bangalore during the third week of May 2009.

Important Dates / items to remember :

Application form is available from the office of XIME, Bangalore on payment of Rs 500/- from March 1, 2009

Last date for receipt of applications - May 30, 2009.

Selection involves Personal Interviews which will be held at Bangalore and Chennai during the third week of May 2009 and first week of June 2009.

Programme commences at XIME, Bangalore on June 29, 2009.

Payment of fees :

The fees of Rs. 1,20,000 is to be paid in three instalments of Rs 40,000 each at the time of admission, at the start of the second term and the third term respectively.

An additional Rs 7500/- will be charged for text books / course material and a refundable Rs 6000/- as caution deposit.

The monthly mess charges will be approximately Rs. 2500/-

Room rent in the hostel (incl. of Electricity and water) will be Rs. 3000/- per month.
